The electorate of Ku-ring-gai has today secured $400,000 in funding for a total of 20 projects through the NSW Government’s 2021 Community Building Partnership Program.

Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP said the State Government funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities including upgrades to schools, sporting organisations and community organisations.

“This is fantastic news for Ku-ring-gai. This grassroots funding will directly help create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with positive social and recreational outcomes,” Mr Henskens said.

“I congratulate all the organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing how these projects make a real difference for community groups in the area.”

• Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) freestanding fans - $7,850
• Warrawee Bowling Club accessible and female amenities - $25,000
• Turramurra High School P&C Association canteen upgrade, purchase of commercial appliances - $25,000
• Normanhurst Girl Guides hall building works - $34,100
• Pymble Turramurra Preschool playground refurbishment - $10,560
• The North Shore Sikh Association of Sydney Inc upgrade toilets, accessible facilities - $40,000
• StreetWork Australia Ltd purchase of equipment for Changing Focus photography program - $7,500
• Kissing Point Rovers Scouts hall and ANZAC Ceremony PA system - $5,991
• Wahroonga Rugby Club sporting equipment storage container - $8,510
• Gordon Golf Club Ltd interior upgrade - $14,481

The Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 16,000 community projects since it commenced in 2009.

In 2022, there is $400,000 to allocate in each electorate. Applications for the 2022 Program open in early 2022.
