Festival Grants to Celebrate our Local Seniors

Organisations in Ku-ring-gai can now apply for a share of $200,000 under the NSW Seniors Festival Grants Program.

Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP, said the festival recognises the importance of seniors to the local community and provides initiatives that encourages new experiences, keeping the mind and body healthy and active.

“The last 12 months have been tough on our senior community. I am happy these grants are available to ensure all those over 60 have the opportunity to participate in our local community no matter how mobile they are, where they live or what language they speak”, Mr Henskens said.

Grants of up to $10,000 will help local small businesses and not-for-profit organisations engage seniors in COVID-safe activities, including art, sport, music, technology, travel, recreation and health.

Applications are now open and will close on Thursday 4 February, 2021.
