Designs have been released for Ku-ring-gai High School’s new multi-purpose hall project being delivered by the NSW Government.

When complete, the new hall will have an 800-seat capacity and will cater for a range of activities from sport and cultural events to school assemblies and performances.

The new facility is part of a major school building project being delivered at the school that will also refurbish 15 existing classrooms. Construction will begin in January 2019.

Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP, said the project will provide a valuable new asset for the school community.

“Whether it’s basketball championships, band practice or drama performances, I can’t wait to see how the Ku-ring-gai High School community embraces this fantastic new facility,” Mr Henskens said.

“It’s been wonderful to work with the NSW Government in securing this important project for our local community.”

Education Minister Rob Stokes said the project will benefit students, teachers and the broader Ku-ring-gai community.

“We want to build schools that inspire our students every day and if these pictures of the new Ku-ring-gai High School hall are anything to go by then I’m sure they’ll do just that,” Mr Stokes said.

This project is being delivered as part of the NSW Government’s record $6 billion school building program over the next four years, which will deliver more than 170 new and upgraded schools to support communities throughout NSW. This is the largest investment into public school infrastructure by any state government in Australian history.
