Upper North Shore rail customers will receive more train services from 28 April, State Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens, said today.

“This is the gain from the recent track work pain while the Liberal State Government invested in improvements to the 100 year old North Shore train line infrastructure,” Mr Henskens said.

“Pymble and Warrawee will now have eight trains an hour or a train on average every seven to eight minutes during the morning peak as customers will get an additional two trains an hour at Pymble, Warrawee, Turramurra and Gordon.”

“Evening peak hour services to Pymble, Warrawee and Wahroonga will double from four to eight trains an hour from the CBD, meaning a train on average every seven to eight minutes.”

 “The State government wants to make life easier for commuters and wherever possible have them spend less time waiting on platforms,” Mr Henskens said.

Services from the CBD to Gordon and Killara between 10 p.m. and midnight will double to eight services every hour, meaning a train on average every seven to eight minutes.

There will also be some minor changes to the timetable for routes 573 (Turramurra to Sydney Adventist Hospital) and 577 (Turramurra to North Turramurra) bus services to make it easier for customers to link with T1 North Shore Line train services.
