State Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP, is inviting public transport customers and the local community to have their say on proposed improvements to Pymble Station, which will make the station easily accessible for everyone.

“The upgrade will ensure that anyone catching the train, including people with a disability, limited mobility, parents or carers with prams and customers with luggage, can easily access Pymble Station,” Mr Henskens said.

“I am encouraging everyone to provide feedback before October 7 on the early concept design of the project as tapping into local knowledge is essential to a project’s success”.

Benefits of the proposed accessibility upgrade include:

  • Three new lifts to connect Pacific Highway, Grandview Street and the station platforms to the existing footbridge;
  • a new forecourt on the Pacific Highway side connecting the existing footpath and bus stop to the lift entry;
  • formalising two accessible parking spaces, a new family accessible toilet and a unisex ambulant toilet;
  • widening the footpath on Grandview Street near the station entry; and
  • additional CCTV, a new public address system and improvements to lighting.

Feedback on the plans can be submitted via the feedback form on the project website www.transport.nsw.gov.au/pymble, by emailing [email protected] or by writing to:
