Have your say on Waitara Station Upgrade
State Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP, is inviting customers and the local community provide feedback on a proposed accessibility upgrade of Waitara Station, including two new lifts.
“The upgrade will ensure all public transport customers, including people with a disability, limited mobility, parents or carers with prams and customers with luggage, can easily access Waitara Station,” Mr Henskens said.
“I am encouraging everyone to review and provide feedback before October 7 on the early concept design as tapping into local knowledge is essential to a project’s success”.
Benefits of the proposed accessibility upgrade include:
- Two new lifts, one connecting the commuter car park to the underpass and one from the underpass to the station platforms
- Improvements to Waitara Avenue Commuter Car Park including relocating the existing accessible parking spaces closer to the station entrance and formalising the Kiss and Ride zone
- Improvements to CCTV, lighting, stairs and station platforms.
Feedback on the plans can be submitted via the feedback form on the website, by emailing [email protected] or by writing to:
