Helping Seniors Stay Socially Active in Ku-ring-gai

Seniors Staying Social

The NSW Government has officially launched the Seniors Staying Social Grants Program.

Grants are available for organisations to create locally driven programs that foster inclusion for older people.

Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP said, “Applications are now open with $600,000 in one-off grants available to go towards funding existing programs, expanding a program to suit a wider audience or creating new ones to combat social isolation”.

“There are many health benefits to social interaction and we want our senior citizens to be involved in the community. I encourage all local organisations to apply”.

This program is part of the NSW Government’s key commitment to meet the needs of our ageing population.

Applications close on 19 April 2020.
