Inquiry Into The Procurement Of Government Infrastructure

The Legislative Assembly Committee on Transport and Infrastructure has commenced an inquiry into the procurement of government infrastructure, Mr Alister Henskens SC MP, Chair of the Committee, announced today.

“The main aim of the inquiry will be to gain ideas that are valuable to NSW by examining  the world's best practice for the procurement of large government infrastructure projects in both local and international jurisdictions”, Mr Henskens said.

“It’s important for New South Wales that we ensure that the best processes and methods are in place for the delivery of major infrastructure projects”, Mr Henskens said.

The Committee is currently seeking written submissions, with a closing date of Friday, 12 February 2016.

The first of the hearings will begin in the week commencing March 2016, with the Report due to be handed down in August 2016.
