Students and teachers at Ku-ring-gai High School are celebrating the opening of their new $15 million facilities with construction now complete.

The Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP said he was proud that the NSW Government had delivered substantial improvements to another local school.

“I’m delighted that the major upgrade at Ku-ring-gai High School is now complete and the students and teachers can benefit from the wonderful new facilities,” Mr Henskens said.

“The project has delivered a new multipurpose hall and indoor sports centre, a new flexible visual arts and performance arts space, three new covered outdoor learning areas, and also upgraded 15 existing classrooms.”

Education Minister Sarah Mitchell welcomed the opening of the major upgrade at Ku-ring-gai High School.

“I’m pleased that construction is now complete on this major upgrade at Ku-ring-gai High School. It provides the high-quality education facilities that will benefit the local community for years to come,” Ms Mitchell said.

The NSW Government is investing $6.7 billion over four years to deliver over 190 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. In addition, a record $1.3 billion is being spent on school maintenance over five years, along with a record $500 million for the sustainable Cooler Classrooms program to provide air conditioning to schools. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
