Member for Ku-ring-gai Alister Henskens SC MP has announced a grant to the Ku-ring-gai Netball Association as part of the Baird Government’s Building Community Partnership Grants program.

The $25,000 grant will allow the Ku-ring-gai Netball Association to upgrade its headquarters at Cannon Road at South Turramurra.

“The Building Community Partnerships program is a wonderful initiative which allows important organisations around us to receive well deserved assistance to continue their operations,” Mr Henskens said today.

Ku-ring-gai Netball Association has around 4000 members and has been part of the Ku-ring-gai sporting scene for more than 40 years,” Mr Henskens said.

Mr Henskens was able to officially present the grant to KNA at the opening day of the season at the Canoon Road netball courts at the weekend.

Association President Jo-Anne Perry said the grant was very much needed and will be very well utilised.

“KNA is most grateful for the Community Grant of $25,000 that we received from the NSW Government,” she said.

“It is much needed for an internal fit out of the Canoon Rd complex as we plan to upgrade the Operations facility and replace the flooring and do much needed renovations to bench, cupboard and storage space within the complex"

“We thank Alister Henskens and the State Government for their continued support and encouragement of our Netball in Ku-ring-gai " Mrs Perry said.
