Ku-ring-gai Public School to Benefit from Sustainable Schools Grant

Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP, today announced the local recipient for round two of the NSW Government’s $10 million Sustainable School Grants.

Mr Henskens said he was excited that Killara Public School have received a $12,500 grant in the second round of the program.

“The Sustainable School Grants will empower students and local school communities to implement projects that will build a safer and stronger NSW but also benefit the environment by helping to save energy, water, reduce waste, or improve biodiversity.” 

“Students at Killara Public will be creating an environmental club aimed at reducing food waste through composting, worm farming and vegetable gardening”, Mr Henskens said.

“I very much look forward to seeing this wonderful project come to life in the coming months.”
