Ku-ring-gai Public Schools Benefit from $2.5 million Sustainable Schools Grants

Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC, today announced the local recipients of the NSW Government’s $2.5 million Sustainable Schools Grants.

Waitara Public School will receive $13,185 for their Eco Community garden and West Pymble Public School are set to receive $9,490 to provide sustainable learning environments for its pupils.

Mr Henskens said he is “delighted two of our local Public Schools have been successful with their grant applications and is looking forward to seeing these wonderful eco projects come to life in the coming months”.

“I know School communities love the garden suburb feel to our area. I hope all our Public Schools start to think of projects for the next round of grants”.  

The Sustainable Schools Grants program is open to all NSW Public Schools and Preschools, with the next round open in November 2020.
