This morning, Member for Ku-ring-gai Alister Henskens SC MP attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony and Civic Opening of Blair Wark VC Community Centre in Lindfield.

Special guest, Lieutenant Colonel Phil Pyke delivered the commemorative address with the Last Post performed by Turramurra High School student, Lena Morris.

“We paused for one minute, to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We will remember the men and women of Ku-ring-gai who have served”, Mr Henskens said.

Along with members from the community, Mr Henskens was joined by Federal Arts Minister and Bradfield MP the Hon. Paul Fletcher, Mayor Jennifer Anderson and representatives from 22 Ku-ring-gai schools who all placed a wreath to honour our fallen.

“It is important that we continue to reflect on this day each year and carry this tradition on for generations to come”.
