More Local Bus Services For Ku-ring-gai

Sydney Bus

State Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP, today announced more than 60 additional weekly bus services for customers, including a new half hour frequency service between Gordon and West Pymble.

“We’re committed to delivering the best possible public transport services. These changes have been designed to create a more efficient public transport network, allowing us to operate services when and where they are needed while providing customers with more choice on when and how they travel,” said Mr Henskens.

“There will be additional weekly off-peak services on route 560 from Gordon to West Pymble with the frequency of the services improved from a bus every hour to one every 30 minutes on weekdays.

“We’ll also be introducing additional services on route 573 from Turramurra to the Sydney Adventist Hospital with an extra service each weekday afternoon, and more services during the evening, as well as earlier and later services on Saturdays.”

Other service changes include:

  • Introducing a new route 591 between Hornsby and St Ives on weekdays, to replace the 594H which currently operates between Hornsby and the City.
  • Changes to late night services on route 572 from Turramurra to Macquarie University to reflect customer demand, with the last services leaving at 9pm on weeknights. The frequency of services on Saturdays will also be adjusted.
  • Additional services on route 577 from Turramurra to North Turramurra with an extra service in the early evening, as well as earlier and later services on Saturdays.
  • Timetable adjustments to routes 575, 587 and 588.

Changes will be introduced on 2 December. Customers are advised to plan their journey ahead at www.transportnsw.info.
