The NSW Government has provided Ku-ring-gai Council with over $340,000 towards new and upgraded play spaces in our local parks, under the Everyone Can Play (ECP) Program.

The funding will go towards constructing new play spaces to make them more inclusive and accessible at Kendall Village Green in West Pymble and Nar-rang Reserve, Corner of Ridge Street and Holford Crescent, Gordon.

Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP said, “Inclusive play spaces are an essential community asset in our local area, designed to bring family and friends of all ages, abilities and backgrounds together”.

“Inclusive play spaces are in high demand across Ku-ring-gai and these two new spaces will be a place where our growing residential community can meet, relax and have fun”.

“It is very important for the physical and mental development of children that they leave their devices alone and go to a park and play”, Mr Henskens said.  

Kendall Village Green and Nar-rang Reserve are in addition to the completed Mark Taylor Oval and Kissing Point Village Green playground upgrade, which is due for completion in the coming months.

The Everyone Can Play program was established in 2018 as part of the $290 million Open Spaces and Greener Sydney package.
