NSW HSC Students Develop Solutions for the Future

Turramurra High School 2019 HSC Major Work

Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP has congratulated former Turramurra High student, Thea Schmertmann on her outstanding design project, Copernican Planetary Orrery (pictured) now on exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum for Shape 2019.

The exhibition includes the top HSC major works from 35 students across NSW, in Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design.

Mr Henskens said that Thea was in good company, amongst an impressive selection of projects. “Students included in the exhibition have developed real and workable solutions to issues in the community and provide us with a glimpse into the minds of tomorrow’s designers”.
