Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP has announced very welcome news.

From Saturday 13 June:  

  • Fitness, gymnasiums, Pilates, yoga and dance studios can reopen with up to 10 people per class and 100 people in an indoor venue;
  • Community centres, including their recreational facilities can reopen;
  • Some indoor recreational facilities including indoor pools and saunas can reopen (with restricted numbers); and
  • Tattoo and massage parlours can have up to 10 clients.

Mr Henskens said, “Sport and fitness is a big part of our lives and critical for community health. Additionally, we are restarting community junior sport competitions (18yrs and under) from Wednesday 1 July”.

“This announcement will excite our many vibrant Ku-ring-gai clubs and local businesses. It is exactly what our State needs right now as we continue to flatten the curve”.
