Member for Ku-ring-gai Alister Henskens SC MP and Patron of the PCYC Hornsby Ku-ring-gai attended the official launch of its new 12-seater bus.
Funded in part by the NSW Government and the St George Foundation, the bus will allow the Police Youth Command to transport members who take part in their police programs as well as various camps, conferences and sporting competitions for the broader PCYC community.
“A big thank you to everyone, particularly the St George Foundation and the State Government, for making this happen. This bus will change the way PCYC operates in our community for years to come”, Mr Henskens said.
“This is more than just a bus, but an opportunity to help those who need it most.”
Vanessa Barry, CEO of the St George Foundation handed over the vehicle keys to Club President, Peter Kirkwood OAM and Club Manager, Daniel Anderson alongside the Hon Philip Ruddock, Hornsby Shire Mayor, Senior Constable Paul Godfrey and members of the community.
