50 Year JP Morning Tea

Alister Henskens SC MP presenting a certificate

Mr ALISTER HENSKENS (Ku-ring-gai—Minister for Families, Communities and Disability Services)—Each year, here at NSW Parliament House, a ceremony is held by the Attorney General for the Justices of the Peace who have attained 50 years of service. Unfortunately the event was unable to go ahead in 2020 so in its place and prior to the lockdown, I invited our local recipients to a morning tea at my electorate office in Wahroonga. It was a privilege to recognise and celebrate Ku-ring-gai's Justices of the Peace for a golden 50 years. Congratulations; John Bostleman; Robert Ewing; Stephen Hills; Roger Lipscomb and Alan Puttock. It was a pleasure to meet you all and present you with your certificates. John Evans, Ian Pont, Garth Tanswell, David Roden, Michael Lulan and Stanley Carr were unable to attend but I congratulate them on this remarkable achievement. Justices of the Peace provide a valuable community service which sometimes can be taken for granted. Our community appreciates the many hours these volunteers have so generously given. Congratulations again.
