Mr ALISTER HENSKENS (Ku-ring-gai—Minister for Skills and Training, Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade, and Minister for Sport) (09:46): The great story of multicultural Australia is reflected in the economic and social contributions of our multicultural communities. In Ku-ring-gai, members of our multicultural community have created successful businesses and are bringing their experience and expertise to volunteer groups, local government, and parents and citizens associations. Starting a new life in Australia is not always easy, which is why CASS Care Gordon Activity Group is such a valuable organisation. CASS helps to break the language barrier; promote access to information, activities and a range of services; and encourage an active and healthy lifestyle for people of all ages. I saw firsthand the benefits to our local Chinese community at the Ku-ring-gai Library on 6 September. It was a morning of celebration and dance in preparation for the Moon Festival, and the members had clearly gained much out of CASS. I thank CASS representative Anthony Pang for his good work in the community and everyone involved in CASS Care.
