Mr ALISTER HENSKENS (Ku-ring-gai—Minister for Skills and Training, Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade, and Minister for Sport)—There is no shortage of brilliant people in Ku-ring-gai. Today I’m pleased to recognise Helen Jarvis of West Pymble, an exemplary person in the community. Helen volunteers as chair of the management committee for Kids Youth Development Service, a non-profit organisation providing free counselling support to young people across Northern Sydney in a way that is needs-based. She has also set up Ripple Learning, a social enterprise providing customed, interpersonal skills training for workplaces where all profits go to youth mental health services. In light of the impact of recent global events on students, I am grateful to know that people like Helen are working towards better mental health in young people. I thank Helen for supporting our youth and helping them flourish into their best selves.
