Athletics

Mr ALISTER HENSKENS (Wahroonga) (20:20): I congratulate three outstanding athletes and former members of Ku-ring-gai Little Athletics who have been selected to represent Australia at the 2026 World U20 Championships in Oregon this August. Special congratulations go to Zoe Woods, who will compete in the five kilometre walk; to Samara Bond, who has been selected for the 4 x 400 metre relay; and to Dylan Hall, who will compete in the 4 x 100 metre relay. I also highlight Dylan Hall's ongoing contribution to the local athletics community as he currently serves as a long jump coach at Ku-ring-gai Little Athletics. In addition, Amalia Bond recently represented Australia at the 2026 Oceania U18 Athletics Championships, which was held in Darwin. Each one of these athletes has demonstrated exceptional dedication, talent and commitment to their sport. Their selection at an international level is a remarkable achievement that is a testament to the strength of athletics in our community. I congratulate all the athletes, their families, coaches and supporters, and Ku-ring-gai Little Athletics.
