Mr ALISTER HENSKENS (Ku-ring-gai—Minister for Skills and Training, and Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology) (15:54): I acknowledge the recent, sad passing of an outstanding and selfless person from Turramurra, Easy Care Gardening volunteer Faith Safer. For many decades, Faith volunteered with Easy Care Gardening as well as other community organisations, including the Red Cross and local schools. Easy Care Gardening is a charity that helps maintain the properties of older people who need assistance, as well as people with disability. I acknowledge the efforts of its volunteers in the Ku‑ring‑gai and Hornsby areas more broadly. The efforts of Faith Safer will be treasured not only by the people she knew personally, but also by the residents of my local community who benefited from her service for decades, as well other local volunteers. In recognition of her life, a service was held at St James Turramurra Anglican church last year. I extend my condolences to her family and friends. Vale, Faith Safer.
