Warrawee Station Accessibility Upgrade Delivered Ahead of Schedule

21 August 2020

Warrawee Station is now accessible to everyone with a new lift operating three months ahead of schedule.

The upgrade has been delivered thanks to the NSW Government’s Transport Access Program and is the first of five stations in the Ku-ring-gai electorate to be completed.

Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP said, “I am delighted that Warrawee Station is now fully accessible to all individuals. This was an election promise which has now been successfully delivered to the community”.

“The upgrade will support our seniors, young families and people with a disability”.

“I would also like to thank the community for their support while work was taking place. It is exciting that we have new modern, safe and accessible public transport infrastructure”, Mr Henskens said.

The upgrade at Warrawee Station is one of five Transport Access Programs projects in the Ku-ring-gai electorate with planning underway for accessibility upgrades at Wahroonga, Waitara, Pymble and Normanhurst stations.

The NSW Government has committed more than $2 billion in the Transport Access Program since 2011, with more than 470 projects either completed or currently underway across NSW.
